Action Research Proposal: Expected Results… 2 Introduction Burnout is a common problem among preschool teachers, and it can have a significant negative impact on both their performance and the learning environment of their students. According to Reupert, “compared to other professions, educators experience higher levels of stress and depression” (2020). When teachers experience burnout, they may become emotionally exhausted, lose interest in their work, and feel disillusioned about their ability to make a difference in the lives of their students. This can lead to reduced productivity, lower morale, and higher rates of absenteeism. Additionally, burnout can affect a teacher's teaching strategies. Teachers who are burned out may be less patient with their students, less likely to engage in creative or innovative teaching methods, and more likely to rely on rote memorization or standardized testing. This can lead to a less dynamic and engaging learning experience for students, which can in turn lead to lower levels of academic achievement and engagement. Therefore, it is important for schools and administrators to recognize the signs of burnout and take steps to address it. By providing support, resources, and opportunities for professional development, schools can help prevent burnout and ensure that their teachers are able to provide the best possible education to their students. This action research study seeks to investigate the relationship between burnout experienced by preschool teachers and the academic performance of their students. The study will examine the extent to which teacher burnout, stemming from factors such as heavy workload, low job satisfaction, and lack of support, can impact the cognitive and socio-emotional development of young learners. By exploring this research question, the study aims to provide insights into the importance of addressing teacher well-being in early childhood education and

The proposed action research study aims to provide preschool teachers with comprehensive emotional therapy to address and prevent burnout. The intervention plan involves offering counseling services as a mindfulness strategy to the teachers to enable them to cope with stress, manage their emotions, and enhance their emotional well-being (Kriakous et al., 2020). The study will conduct a thorough assessment of the teachers' emotional needs, followed by the development of a customized therapeutic approach to address their specific needs. The study will also evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention plan in enhancing the teachers' emotional well-being and reducing burnout. The proposed study recognizes the critical role of preschool teachers in shaping the early development of children and seeks to provide them with the necessary support to enable them to perform their duties effectively. Hypothesis for the Outcome of the Proposed Research Study Hypothesis 1 After conducting an extensive review of the existing literature on burnout as it relates to teachers, I have formulated a hypothesis for my proposed action research study. My analysis suggests that the implementation of counseling services has the potential to significantly reduce burnout among teachers, resulting in a host of positive outcomes for both the educators and the students. By providing teachers with access to counseling services, they will have a safe space to discuss their feelings and concerns, learn coping mechanisms, and receive support and guidance from mental health professionals. This, in turn, will lead to a reduction in stress and burnout, which will improve teacher well-being, job satisfaction, and overall mental and mental health.
